All our underwriters, in both Atlanta and Chicago, have experience in both the direct market and in reinsurance. This enables them to help our clients handle the complex medical and financial cases written in today’s market. We personalize our service, because no two companies have exactly the same needs.
Our Underwriting Department is supported by four full-time Medical Directors, as well as medical consultants.
Our Underwriting Manuals—both printed and online versions—are the result of extensive research by Munich American’s Medical Department in conjunction with other divisions of Munich Re’s worldwide organization. Rather than target only a few key impairments, we offer reasonably aggressive risk assessments for all impairments.
