As a professional reinsurer, we do not deal directly with individual financial services customers. However, in the course of performing the essential functions of our business, we regularly receive non-public personal information (NPPI) from our institutional customers and business partners such as insurance companies and service providers. At MARC, we have instituted a policy that sets forth expectations of our employees in handling non-public personal information, so that proper protection of the confidentiality and integrity of personal information is maintained. Our Privacy Policy includes provisions for education and training of our employees and sets forth the manner in which our clients can expect us to treat the non-public personal information they provide us in the course of our working relationship. We must adhere to similar standards as our institutional customers to assure that their privacy policies are given effect.
